They have a 25/50/100m range. Great place to shoot, especially when you run into other EBR owners. Aurora Sportsmans Club is building a new range out west as in 15 years they are getting pushed out of their current location (at least from what I have heard in rumors and such) and the new place supposedly will have 300 meter and possibly 1000 meter shooting. The new range won't open for at least a couple of years though. Maybe someone who goes to Aurora can verify those rumors. Dawg |

Im a member at aurora. last year we bought a bunch of land in waterman IL. we werent kicked out of our current location in Bliss Woods, we just decided to move now before we are kicked out. There was a big stink as to what what kind of ranges we would have and the powers that be decided. the original plan was to have a 1000m to 25m rifle and pistol. a steel range for pistol. trap, skeet, sporting clays, and archery. well the rifle range has been cut down to 600m. and the steel range got the axe. you have to be a member though to shoot there. and to be a member you need to be sponsored by a member. West of Bloomington has a 100 yard range--Darnall's. Ron and Sue will take care of you. Indoor pistol too. Taylorville rifle club has 100-300 yards, but you have to be a member, and I think you have to kill someone to get a membership slot.  What part of the state are you in? |
