Hey you WI boys..........your action is needed now. The following message was just distributed from Senator Zien’s office: A date has been set for the State Senate to override Governor Doyle's veto of SB 214, the Personal Protection Act: Wednesday, January 21. It is crucial that concealed carry supporters come to the Capitol to lobby their legislators, and be seen in numbers in the Senate Gallery as the vote takes place. Already this year Ohio passed the right to carry, becoming the 46th state to allow citizens the ability to defend themselves. WI is now 1 of only 4 states where its citizens are disarmed. Last year Missouri was successful in an override of their Governor's veto. THIS IS OUR CHANCE. If we fail, we have to re-introduce the bill again in 2005 and start all over from scratch. Forward this to every concealed-carry supporter on your email list, and call your friends/family about the Senate override on January 21st. If Senators see hundreds of PPA supporters flooding the halls of the Capitol and watching from the Gallery, they will think twice about siding with Governor Doyle. The Senate passed SB 214 by a vote of 24-8. 22 votes (2/3 majority) are necessary on January 21 for the Senate to override the Governor's veto. If the Senate is successful, the Assembly must also achieve 2/3 majority to override (66 votes). The Assembly passed SB 214 by a vote of 64-35. This is the moment we've all been waiting for. Let's make it worth it. Call/write/email your legislators. Come to the Capitol on January 21st and join hundreds of other concealedcarry supporters from across the state as the Senate will attempt to override the Governor's veto!!!
