Around 4am I saw a yote running north on South Pueblo Blvd just approaching Burkholder Blvd - on the east side of Basic High. This isn't heading into the desert, but further into the burbs.

You were in my neck of the woods. I've seen them around my place several times.  Even called one into my driveway . Chased a few with my truck on the way to work in the mornings too . This photo was taken up off of Hollywood acrossed from The Wetlands Park.

Edit:
After further digging, I've found the same pic on the net and twitter so who knows when or where it was really taken.

I have a pug and a St. Bernard. Once we were walking by my house and came across a coyote. The coyote thought about making a meal out of my pug until it saw my Saint. Coyotes move quite fast when chased by a Saint Bernard.

I saw a couple by the railroad tracks near Warm Springs and Eastern last week.
Near Sunset Park.

A friend in the back part of Seven Hills says there are four or five wandering the neighborhood at night.

There seem to be a lot within city limits, but none in the desert.

I've posted sightings in my neighborhood here in the NVHTF (Trop and Pecos) over the years.

Once there was one in my yard just before I let my dogs out. As soon as it heard the lock of the door it took off.

They move FAST and can climb six or eight foot walls with ease.

Ask me how I know.
