couldn't tell you, I've only gotten primers there a couple times.
I learned how to reload reading the reloading section here and watching a couple of youtube videos to put it all in to context. I have a 5 gallon bucket of brass that needs reloaded i could give you the process step by step repeated about a thousand times for each step if you wanna learn
start with the abcs of reloading and a reputable loading manual. pick up a single stage press and work through each step slowly. only a couple of things you can fuck up really badly that would cause injury or massive damage to a firearm. use the right powder. pistol powder in a rifle cartridge can really fuck up your day check all your cases for proper level of powder before seating bullets. a case with no powder can be more dangerous than one with too much, will cause a squib and then you shoot another round in to it. most other mistakes won't result in anything too serious |
| Thanx obo for the help. I have gone through the reloading forum here and looked at youtube. But i'm finding that i need a structured lesson to fully get the benefit of what i'm trying to learn and honestly i think i'm a bit snakebit. I like to try diy projects and i'll ask a couple of people about a project and they'll tell me no problem it takes about an hour and 10 bucks and when i try it takes me 10 hours and 100 bucks. |

Hello
The Reloading Class we offer is a basic introduction course. Topics that are discussed are Safety, Components, Reloading manuals and data, equipment, the reloading process as well as a hands on portion in which you will load a 9mm and a 223. As you know it takes more than one classroom session to become proficient in anything but you should feel a lot more comfortable in moving forward. We do provide real life experiences thru out the course which is not able to be taught from a video. If you do have questions you are always welcome to stop by the store and we can walk you thru the classroom and show you what we do as well. Hope this helps. Jerry |

OP it definitely can be a little daunting starting off it sounds as though these guys have put together a pretty informative course and it is always good to have someone with experience show you the ropes. |
| I'd say read a good reloading manual or the ABC's of Reloading before taking a class and you'll absorb so much more in class. I never knew xtreme offered a reloading class but I'm a hands on learner personally and it helped a lot more when I had the reloading equipment after watching hours of videos, reading for months, learning what good used prices are on reloading equipment and deciding what I wanted. With that amount of time you'll amaze yourself with how much you saved on your initial purchase than needing to replace what your purchased. I'm not saying the "buy a Dillon 550/650/1050 LNL AP" advice is bad advice I'm saying blindly buying what other people tell you to buy can cost you. |

Thank you for the Welcome! Off topic....how do i set the notification so that I get emailed when there is a post to something I posted to. I don't see anything in the profile setting like I am use to seeing on other forums. Thanks in advance.
Back on topic...I agree to definitely do the research prior to buying to save yourself some possible extra expenses and having some basic understanding of terminology will help a lot. Any answers we can provide we will be glad to do so. |
