I'm looking at buying a boat but its sitting on a trailer that's never been registered (at least here in NV) and has no title. Owners claimed they've owned the setup since '05 and been running it on the roads in AZ and here without a plate. Story is the wife bought it while husband was out of town (construction worker) & didn't know boat trailers needed title & had to be plated.
At any rate, does anyone know if there's a process in which something like this can be sorted out? Also, I pulled the VIN off the trailer in case there's anyway one can be run to see if it was ever designated as stolen. |
