Are Leo's / ex-Leo's exempt from Clark County's blue card requirements? Thanks.

I have sent in at least 10-12 24As in the last few months using Metro Ids, and none have been kicked back (which they love to do for even perceived penmanship faults), so I am sure that you know something that I don't. |

In what way? I have been told that Cat 1 LEO's can use their police ID in lieu of a blue card to bypass the 72-hour hold. Quoted:

There is still the registration requirement. |

Whatever happened to that bill to get rid of this registration travesty? The LV D's refused to let it get anywhere in the legislature. It was part of a bill to improve CCW, the "Blue Card" BS had to be dropped to save the rest of the bill. Remember this at the next election and anytime anyone ask for your vote! Always respond by asking if they will commit to doing everything in their power to end the Blue Card crap. Only when support for the Blue Card gun registration is seen as a political liability will it ever go away. |

They still register their guns, but yes....no 72 hour wait. Same as if you had a CCW and came in and bought your first handgun. It HAS to be said! "Some pigs are more equal than others". I really detest double standards, one set of laws for all, including members of congress, or none! |
