Last I stopped at Discount Firearms to pickup a new lower that I had transferred to them.  I expected them to be busy, but not swamped with people 3 deep trying to get to the counter.  Their AR shelf was cleaned out and there wasn't AK to be seen.  They had a pair of 9mm carbines, an M1 and a few mini 14s.  While I was there the last of the AR's sold out.
It's one thing to hear about things being sold out - it's another to see it in action

A buddy of mine went down there this weekend and according to him picked up their last Ak-47.

I asked about ammo.  They apparently sold out of their individually packed .223 and 5.56, so they decided to sell their "range" ammo - the bulk ammo they use for their machine gun experience.
I was told that they started the morning with a full pallet of ammo, but by end of the day only 4 boxes were left.  That was probably do to the $550 price tag!

I know ammo prices are going to be high for quite a while, but I'm not ready for $0.55 per round .223

I went to 7 guns stores in town looking for 556 and everything was sold out!  Everyone and their moms were buying rifles.  Magazines all gone.  Lock and load had lots of xm193 but were only selling them in individual boxes and not bulk for $15 for a box of 20 rds.  Lots of people freaking out, either the end of the world of AWB! hahaha

Holy Crap that's $0.80 a round!

Looks like my 9mm AR project was a good idea.  9mm prices are high, but not 80 cents a round expensive

Went to two stores in Reno yesterday.  Bare walls except for some higher end stuff.  And only a few of those.  Macabee said he has some AR's on order but isn't sure when or if they'll come in.  I guess I waited too long.

Unfortunately, if you dont have one, you arent likely to get one without lot's of cash, lots of luck or both.

I had an AMD65 in the shop that we paid too much for. I had a couple buy it pre-panic last week and I felt guilty.

This week, I am glad they did it.
