My company has partnered with the non-profit Green Vets and Americorps to have a one of our Nevada Conservation Corps crews fully filled with Vets.  The crew Supervisor is a recent Vet.  It's a good chance for Vets to see what conservation projects are like in the Nevada Region and get exposure with most of the Land Management agencies here to see if they would like to pursue careers with them.  If you guys know anybody that might be interested let me know and I'll give them my contact info and our H.R. dept.

thanks,

I don't believe there is an age limit on this program.

the work consists of 10hr days on either 4 or 8 day tours depending on the project.  the projects we do in the south region vary widely from building hiking trails in the Spring Mountains to cleaning up un-approved dump areas in the desert....and everything in between....some fun and some that kinda suck.  all our projects require remote backcountry camping, often in inclement weather through the winter and we rarely stop work due to weather.

it is geared more for people just entering the workforce, changing direction, or just want to work outside for a bit.......i doubt that it pays more than what you already make.  go to the AmeriCorps website and look under Nevada, or go to my companies website to see what the pay/benefits are.  www.thegreatbasininstitute.org
