My students have been telling me anywhere from 10 days to six weeks (Clark County).

Well I suppose the answer will vary depending on who issued the permit

In Clark County I have had two recent, separate additions. Both times I went in on Monday and had the new card in the mail by that Friday.

In Douglas, if you have a multiple permit, they take your paperwork and $15 and just enter it in the system amd you are GTG. I still havent had a chance to see if they hassle me about adding a weapon from a qual I did at Line of Fire in Vegas.

Well this is very interesting!  Here in Carson City, the Sheriff’s Office just requests a wait of 24 hours to add the handgun into their computerized CCW database.  Hence the Carson City Sheriff’s Office does not issue a completely new CCW permit listing all of the handguns that the CCW Permit holder can carry.

Apparently here in Carson City, if a law enforcement officer has any questions as to which handguns the CCW Permit holder can be carrying, the officer just contacts the Carson City Sheriff’s Office for their computer database check of the handguns that CCW Permit has listed to the permit.  Again, here in Carson City, no new CCW Permit listing the handguns to the permit is issued!

I would want to be sure I got a receipt or something showing the new gun has actually been added.
