Trying to find the Federal 200 round 50 gr JHP BP223G at walmarts around town without success.  Anyone know the story on these?  Google search isn't turning up much.  Only thing I've been able to find is a comparable product from American Eagle called AEBP223G.  Problem is - Federal was $76 at walmart, AE is around $125 online.

Any info is appreciated.

Man I sure do like a good caper. I remember when they were $40 a 200 hundred Value pack, then soon went to $88, now that is a caper. Weird thing about those was, they were some of the worst looking bullets, but shot so dang good

Yeah, sucks when the price goes up.  Problem is - seems like Walmart isn't carrying it anymore =(.

You just need to be at the right Walmart at the right time, they still carry it, but not at all local stores ....

Most of the Wal-Marts in town that sell anything beyond shotgun ammo carry the 100 rd boxes of federal 55grn fmj... $40 a pop.

Sorry John.

Just got back from a trip to Daniel Defense in Georgia.  Great people, great company.  High standard in all aspects of the company from R&D, manufacturing, to quality control.  Their new cold hammer forged lightweight pencil barrels are pretty cool and super light.  They were busy and it was great to see them doing well.

How much ammo would you like?  I will see if it is available on Monday and if so I can put the order in as soon as you like.

Looking specifically for the 50 gr Jacketed Hollow Point - FMJ won't do well on bunnies - need the hollows.

I actually have 1100 rounds of the 55 FMJ and I don't k now that I'll ever use them.

Heh - no worries.  Thanks for trying though =).  I really like the helpful attitude a lot of the vegas locals harbor.

I can say a local gentleman met me at Lock and Load on Saturday to sell me 360 rounds of the 50 gr JHP that he had sitting around.  Pretty cool stuff, explained a bit about the appleseed shoot  to me after our transaction (coming in October and December).  I'll be attending October - already signed up.  Probably December too once I've experienced it for myself.

Thank goodness I am in Utah for college. The local walmart has about 100 boxes of the 200 round boxes in a huge pile by the gun counter
