I guess I could ask this over in armory, but screw it.

Anybody know anything about the Robinson XCR? What's one worth in the Vegas area?

My buddy got offered a 'screamin deal' on one. Wondering if it's worth a damn.

Last I checked when I almost bought one they ran about $2100.00. Only problem is that parts are very hard to find and the Customer Service is almost non existent with them. Just a grumpy guy who is pissed you are interrupting their daily routine. That is why turned me off to them. Otherwise the gun looks to be a solid platform.

WOW...when did you last look at them Bro??????  First off, Champion firearms in Texas has them for 1575.00 with the new gas system, new trigger, and ambi safety (per their website).  I bought my second XCR thru them and it was great service and a great price.  As far as dealing with Robarms directly for parts and accessories, they are very responsive.  You can get all you want from them, just ask for Terra.  Alex used to be known as a grumpy guy to a lot of people, but the several times I have spoken to him at gunshows, he has been very professional and talkative.  I love my 2 XCRs and they have been very solid.  You can't beat the ergonomics IMHO.  Robarms keeps adding small improvements and additional calibers not to mention different upper profiles all the way down to pistols now.  The XCR is very adaptable to say the least.  Both of mine are very accurate as well.

Just wanted to set the record straight

I checked the price during Obamania!! $1575 is not a bad price at all. Maybe you will let us shoot it sometime.

1600 is a touch high...Im not sure how much the optic is worth.  Ive seen used ones as low as 1300 on the XCR forum.
Its a great weapons system.  Im saving my pennies for one now.

BYOAmmo

I will be at the BCRPC 3 gun on the 20th

ETA....I am in the process of switching over my original XCR over to the new gas system with a new 14.5" heavy barrel w/ pinned FH.  I hope to be testing out that one very soon and you can shoot that too!

people who personally witness millions of rounds sent downrange, folks like pat rogers...have stated (on other forums) that they have never seen an xcr complete a carbine course.

take that for whatever its worth.

Got the link for that?  Everyone I know who has one talks about never having a malfunction...
