Friends,
I'm getting a male German Shepherd pup in a couple of months and I would like to give him a German name. I haven't met him yet, and I have to name him on my own. I have some ideas for a name, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Be Safe. Joe PS: I've been lost without Rocky. |

I am (one of) the top companion dog trainers in America. I've published two books, and have the #1 commercial dog training site on the internet. If you'd be interested in working a "trade of skills" –– my shooting (and knife fighting) can always use some work. And in exchange, I can show you how to get your dog to listen to you, anywhere you go. [If you're looking for working dog training, I can teach you how to lay a proper foundation for your pup, and then hook you up with some of the best in the business when the dog is old enough to start formal working dog training (be it Schutzhund, Ring, or PP).
I'm not trying to sell you on anything. I don't need the money, and I can afford to pay for the gun training. I just think that the idea of trade for something like this kinda intrigues me. All the best, Adam. |

Rocky was a good pup. Faust |foust| (also Faustus |ˈfoustəs; ˈfô-|) (died c. 1540), German astronomer and necromancer. Reputed to have sold his soul to the Devil, he became the subject of dramas by Marlowe and Goethe, an opera by Gounod, and a novel by Thomas Mann. |

All the best, Adam. What do you charge an hour....I have a pit bull who is the sweetest dog in the world but his obedience is a lil shakey. Ive been thinking about some advanced training. He is around two now. AS FOR NAMES...go with something that doesnt sound pompass.....get something that will fit his personality. For my pit I went with ROWDY...boy did he grow into that. |

I don't really work with the general public anymore. Now it's 100% publishing. But I generally recommend Sit Means Sit, locally. A lot depends on which individual trainer you get, though. |

How about SIG! It's German and one syllable and don't you shoot a 220? Funny that you would suggest that. I was actually thinking the same thing. I need to find out what the name means. I was also thinking about Gaston (after Gaston Glock). I just checked with my German speaking girlfriend, and Sig Sauer doesn't ring any bells for her, other than Sauer means sour. SIG must be an acronym or something. |
