Word of advice from my own mistakes I've made .......... I made it to phase II and failed that phase ........... Don't lie, don't change anything you said, be clear, and be concise ........

I know that this is an older thread and I don;t mean to hijack it, but how long did it take to hear from a Background Investigator after you turned in your Background packet? I Turned mine in about 5 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I know it's a long process but I'm getting antsy! Thanks for any help.

They are slow as hell. My buddy got all the way to the hiring board only to be told "Sorry but we are just not hiring at the moment." It took 14 months to get to that point. NHP can hug nuts.

I got through the interview but after that I withdrew when I went on a 14 month deployment.

I tore my ligaments testing for CHP. Seems like a lot of agencies put us all thru the wringers.

LVMPD is hiring...we're so short-handed we anticipate hiring at the current pace for the next couple of years.
