Was rushing down Charleston and the light turned yellow, I could have stopped but it would have put me in the middle of intersection, so I blew through and it turned red. Next thing I hear is siren, which I was expecting for some reason.
I pull over, motorcycle officer stays back 45 seconds or so, walks up and tells me I ran a red light, I explained to him what happened. He was very stern, asks for my ID Papers Insurance, as I pull out my ID my CCW is right behind it and he sees my CCW and asks if there are any weapons in the car. I told him that there was. He asks why I failed to notify him there was a weapon in my car , and don't I think I should notify him. I said I don't't know about that. He asks me very sternly what I was taught in my CCW class, so I respond with to him with Nevada is not required to notify an officer . He looked at me , told me to roll my window up about 3 inches, comments its awful dark tint. I thought at this point I am going to get ticket for red light, and for dark tint.He then looks at my paperwork, shoves it back through the window and says Have a Nice Day. Doesn't wait on a response and is back on his bike and gone. I'm not bitching.... just not what I was expecting..... maybe it was my cool beard that got me off or perhaps my BFL sticker ???? |

Sounds like an odd experience.
Last bike cop that pulled me over took my weapon and spare mag back with him to the bike while he did the paperwork... When he came back he said "hold out your hands". I thought to myself, "what the hell?" He had taken all of the rounds out of the mags and poured them into my hands... 35 rds from my taurus 9mm. It was pretty akward. They didn't really fit in my cupholder. Of course, I still had another spare mag in the glovebox |

I got rear-ended by an off-duty bike cop a couple weeks ago. Maybe it was him, and the accident somehow knocked some compassion into him? BTW, what the hell is BFL? Bolt Face Logo. Oh, yeah. Geez. Maybe if the logo had a couple of cracked lugs and a bunch of carbon crusted on, I'd remember |
