On Friday, I went to the Cameron office to file my renewal paper work.  I was surprised when driving into the parking lot to see how empty it was.  When I walked in, there were probably 10 people waiting.  From the time I got there to leaving took a little less than an hour.

Received my new card in the mail today.

Recession.. too bad I still have 3 years left. I like short lines. When I was there the place was full of security guards and strippers.

Same here when I was there. It was more strippers than security guards. But these were quality girls like from Spearmint Rhino or something....more like the Palomino or some other dump. lol What I saw you wouldnt pay to see.

Yes, the lines are short.  There is also someone working at the CCW detail that gives a hoot about doing things correctly and efficiently.  He is a gun owner and a shooter himself and in my opinion has done wonders with getting things organized.  Didn't anyone notice that CCW turn around times have drastically been reduced?  When I first applied for my CCW I waited the entire 120 days.  5 years later, I waited 4 days for my renewal.

Hats off to him.

Which topic?  CCW or the empty fingerprint building?

I think it's Sgt. Johnson that runs that detail now.  Not sure when he took over but yes, turnaround times are much shorter than they were 3 years ago when I first got my CCW.

So... how long should it take to get my CCP, after applying (first time)?

I did my initial application almost a year ago and the wait was around 43 days (I didn't check the mail everyday).

I'll post when I get the new card.

My daughter is hoping the short wait time at the office lasts for awhile.  She is going to have to go down to file her paperwork as soon as she gets her gun and a CCW class.
