| How is it for a place to live? Good? Bad? How's the crime? I hear there is a NICE mall there too. Was looking at taking a trip over there sometime. How's the weather, too? Hot in summer, cold in winter (the usual)? |

Henderson is a GREAT place to live I grew up near 28th Street and Bonanza as a kid in Vegas and that sucked balls ... and yes, it's TOO hot in the summer, TOO cold in the winter thanks, Ron |
| From what I've been told Henderson doesn't have the charm it used to have. From looking around you can tell it was a quaint little town before the big building boom. Too many tract homes, yuppies, and jag offs have ruined it for everyone else. That said I like Henderson because its not a shit hole like Vegas is. You can actually go shopping at the Galleria Mall and not have to avoid gangs of illegals, gang bangers, white trash, and the rest of the flotsam and jetsam of Las Vegas. There actually is a benefit to going to Henderson, It's not a bad place. |

Henderson has a few areas that are different. Green Valley is the land of a billion strip malls. It is a pretty nice place to live, all things considered. Anthem is nice, but one part of it is for old folks, the other part is pricey. Old town gets called Hendertucky, and has its share of dive casinos and 600sqft houses, but also has some nice areas that are more recent. They seem to be fixing it up. Weather in summer sucks in the valley, but you get used to it. The too cold in the winter thing is a bunch of BS - winter was far worse in the PRK due to the damp air. Nine plus months of nice weather is worth the hot summer IMO. |

I moved from Nebraska (Omaha) to Henderson 12/07; and couldn't be happier. Henderson is a great place to live. I live near Horizon and the 95. I'm just close enough to the stip if I want to be there I can; and far enough away to avoid all the tourists if need be. The winter rocks (compared to Nebraska) and the summer has no humidity. |
I think "Viva Norftown" gives it away. |
Um, its Nofetown, Rs ah nomally not (O can not) be pronounced hea! |
