I'm moving out of state in a few weeks and I have an extra vehicle that doesn't get driven regularly.  I'm going to drive this car to my next residence.  Herein lies my question, the plates have expired and I was really hoping I wouldn't need to register the car and then move out of state.  What plan of action could I take?  Can I get a temporary registration that would be good until I get to my new place?

Any insight that could be given would be appreciated.

Perhaps the new state could make you something up...  Don't know about NV.

Sell it to me, you can drive/own with POA.
It costs me $33 a year out of state military being forced here in this turdpool abortion of a city.

Do you mean to be legal here in NV in case you get stopped here?  Or, do you mean for your new state?

I'd think that a trip permit in NV would cover you here and for how ever many days you buy it for, and would be honored in another state too

You're a resident of Ohio correct?  Register it here for $33 bucks then register it ID when you feel like it.

I wonder if I can still use that form?  I'll be out of the service in a few weeks.  And if I showed up in the orderly room and ask for the form they'll probably give me shit about asking for the form.  But it wouldn't hurt to try though.

One part I left out, the car is registered in my wifes name.  The $33.00 fee is probably a no go now.  I'm a bit pissed with my wife because she drove my car while I was in Korea and let her plates expire.

I should sell the fucker and let her walk.  Its always some dumb shit like this that comes up when you're about to move or PCS.

That's why they get paid less in the workplace

I'll swing by later today a bullshit.  Have to go to the base anyway.  Gotta talk to the ANG and see if they can cure my civilian boredom.

You're still in the military so they should not refuse you the right to use the form.  If the Orderly Room does say no, you can get it from Legal.

I got a 30 day permit to move a car from Carson City to Las Vegas.  They said I could take it anywhere but do it in 30 days cause you will not get another one.  There was no cost.  I brought the title with me.

BUT I got pulled over 4 times, Hawthrone, Tonapah, Mina and Beatty.   They just looked at the permit and let me go.  Oh welll it's a long boring drive and at least I got to to talk to someone 4 times.
