Wish I could go--standard kids birthday party this Saturday.

How far north? We went up past Cold Creek the Sunday after opening day & didn't see a single bird--just an FYI. We did see a dozen deer & a bunch of wild horses.

Yep, me too...not this year. We went out before sunrise to call in some yotes, didnt even hear any, let alone get a shot off.

I did get chased by a badger though!

There were also no Dove on opening day at Kane Springs. I usually don't try for dove, but we were quail scouting a week before the dove opener & found a secret spot with a bunch of dove. At least I got to shoot two jackrabbits & didn't get chased by anything.

Holding a 12ga shotgun, an AR strapped to my back and an XD on my hip.....running from a 15 pound rat!

Not my most impressive moment.

Maybe you should bring a fire extinguisher so you can defend yourself

Kane Springs has always been a bust for me when hunt coyotes.
