It begs the question, how many of those concepts were new to each of us? I'd be willing to bet that (some of the specific numbers and figures aside), none of those quotes or concepts were unfamiliar, or a surprise to most of us here on this forum. This is because if you're here, then you're likely already paying attention. Now the scary part: Show that to your average high school graduate, and I would be shocked if they had heard any of those quotes, or believed any of those figures. "Wake up" is right! And the a rude awakening it is going to be for those masses who have fallen into complacency! |
