Scot, Too bad you didn't take your spot at HFD...now you would be making the "big" money in H-town!!!  Just kidding bro...I knew you would do well with your military background. We lost one guy. He came in at 45 years old and was just not prepared - physically or mentally. He could not do 5 pushups on day one. Picking North Las Vegas over Henderson was a damn hard decision. Both are out friggin standing departments. I grew up in NLV, live right on the NLV border, and just know the areas so much better. I have been to Henderson probably 15 total times in my 27 years, I just never felt like I was "home". So I just went with what my gut told me to do. Although all that extra OT would be nice!!!! We are starting to get a lot more OT here though. |
North Las Vegas Fire Department Academy 2006-02 These are 10 of the finest men I have ever had the pleasure of serving with, that includes all the wonderful people I served with in the military. I'm proud to call each of them my brothers. They are excellent examples of what it means to have heart, desire, and integrity. And the mandatory village people shot......
