Does anyone know how I can find out who the owner of a vehicle is by using the license plate number?

You either have to be a cop.... or know one. JK.

I think that you can go to DMV in person and request the info. I could be wrong, but I think you can still do that.

I am not sure they still release the information. Before, you gave them your name and they gave it to you for free.

Then they started charging.

Then some loser got his ex's new boyfriend's plate, went to DMV, got the info, tracked the guy down and killed him.

Last I heard, they will only release certain info with a written affidavit as to the reason for the request. Mainly it is for insurance companies.

So, who are you trying to hunt down
