Hey guys, Just thought I'd take a sec and let you know about Absolute police supply. They have a great selection of just about everything tactical, from holsters, to vests, various molle gear, mag holders, everything 5.11 tactical, Surefire, etc. I never even knew they existed until ANIMUS mentioned it. I spent 45 minutes there looking at everything. I've been ordering a ton of stuff that I could have gotten there. Anything even remotely tactical related you should swing by there for. Good store and good people. Oh yeah they have a sale going right now. I got a pair of Hatch knee pads for $10! |

They've been around for about three years. Used to be on Craig and Pecos area. They have more employee's now but they used to be a Ma and Pa store. Their son is an officer for NLVPD I think. They had told us a while back that they wanted to start selling firearms but I noticed they don't yet. No doubt they would have to fight the wonderful City of NLV to do so. So if you need some gear and you don't want to visit those ass-fisting eunichs over at American Shooters Nazi Brownshirt Supply, check'em out. |

Absolute Equipment is run by some good people. A few years ago I bought an ASP for work from American Shooters since I was told they were a good police supply shop. After a couple of years the retaining clip inside of the ASP broke. I took the ASP back to them to see if they could order me the new part. The salesman told me it wasnt their responsibility to fix it or order new parts and I would have to buy a new one. The thought to break every one of their display cases crossed my mind but restraint got their better of me. I later found Absolute Equipment and asked if they could help me. The owner grabbed me out one of his sons old ASP's and told me to take that one until he could get me the part in. Less than a week later my ASP was back in action. For what took the owner five minutes out of his busy day, they earned a customer for life. I never went back to American Shooters ever again. They can go suck an old mans saggy sweaty nuts. |
Just to clarify, the NLVPD Officer and his wife actually own the store... he just employed his parents. also, the reason they dont carry guns is certain liability reasons. They're not quite ready to delve into that side of things, especially since gun sales isnt that lucrative |
I don't blame them for not getting into the gun business. It sounds like a PITA. They are just nice people so I would like to buy guns from them. |
| There are plenty of gun stores around anyways. Absolute should stick with the police supply stuff. Theres a reason why there are no gun stores in NLV. Too many hood rats and criminals. Thats why Hahns quit selling guns years ago. They were broken into too many times. |
Correct. I'm not part of the JBT Haters club. I've have been impressed with every contact I've had with Metro. Great response time to my old apartment where my upstairs neighbor was mugged in front of my door. |

Stopped in there today at lunch and picked up a pair of 5.11 pants. They have a lot of the 5.11 products, including the vests in tan, green, and black. I don't know how their prices compared with others, but the pants cost me $38. The vests are priced at $62 or so IIRC. The 5.11 boots are a bit out of my price range at something like $150. They have a lot of Safariland gear, and can order anything of the Safariland line, including the competition style holsters at 10% off catalog prices. Again, don't know how their prices compare to other places, but they have some nice stuff. |
