I haven't seen any of the Mormon Crickets, but the freakin Stinkbugs are all over here in Douglas.
Big black nasty beatle things.
And before this turns to a religious debate, I believe stinkbugs are non-denominational.
Anybody else seeing these aweful critters?

+1 GM,

After the rains last winter and spring they are ALL OVER! I have sprayed and sprayed and they just regroup and come back in stronger numbers a week later (kinda' like Haji terrorists).

I Friggin' hate those bugs! This is the worst I have seen them in 20 years. They get in the dog's food dish at night, they will eat their own dead, and the light brown ones fly!

Heads Down! INCOMING!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be Safe.

Joe

PS: Don't walk outside at night in bare feet!! Yuk!!

The brown ones are female cockroaches. The most important to kill, because they carry the eggs.

Actually, when I got to work I found them on the cover of the Nevada Appeal. Predaceous Beatle or caterpiller hunters. My daughter calls'em stink bugs, although apparently they don't, stink that is.
Funny how after a wet winter, we are just infested with these different critters. First it was the damn butterflies all up in my gril, now dive bomber beatles, centipedes in the kitchen, mosquitos expected in full force. Damn these bugs!

Stinkbugs are a bit fatter than roaches, almost like a beatle.

Joe, if you want, I've got an Ithaca Mag-10 you can borrow.  3 1/2 oz. of #6 shot should do the trick.

Glenn,

The bugs at my house are pretty big. I was thinking perhaps a Minimi, or MK 19.

Got any of those layin' around the house?

BEETLE

BEETLES ARE INSECTS THAT HAVE HARD CARAPACES. THERE ARE OVER TEN MILLION BEETLE SPECIES WORLDWIDE.

BEETLE

COMPACT EUROPEAN SEDAN MANUFACTURED BY VOLKSWAGEN FROM 1934 TO CURRENT.

BEATLE

SOME JERKS FROM ENGLAND THAT MADE SOME CLAMOROUS POP DITTIES AND 'YESTERDAY.' THE ONLY GOOD ONES ARE PRESENTLY DEAD.

And no, this isn't a caps-lock malfunction, but a deliberate holding-down of the left shift key with my little finger. Doing so indicates my righteous indignation and fury but since I'm holding down the shift key instead of pressing caps-lock once, it shows how civilized and proper I am while screaming like a lunatic at you.

It's all about the shift key, baby.

If it makes you feel better, I can't understand MeanSteve in face to face conversations half the time, so his bizarre internet ramblings should be handled with a simple shoulder shrug, just like we do in real life. He's probably not had any sleep and way too much caffeine and alcohol.
And as to the comment about the only good beetles being currently dead, is this situation expected to change? I have a dollar on McCartney to go next and I don't wanna be behind the 8 ball on some inside info...
