Hi guys,

Just a reminder that we will be having a Subgun match this Sunday at Desert Sportsman. This match will be a bit different than our normal format. You fire the first stage from one position. There will be about 40 knockdown targets, so bring lots of ammo and drums if you got them. The second stage will require a 30 round mag. If yours holds more OK but only 30 rounds in the mag will be allowed. You must HOSE a line of bowling pins without letting up on the trigger. Each pin is worth 1 second off your first stage total time. Match starts Sharp at 0900 so be a bit early to sign in. See you in the morning.

MACHINE GUN MATCH                 6/12/05                 TONY DEE

A perfect morning for the last match of the season. A new format for this match was tried. The shooter started in a shooting box and with his Subgun took out 38 knockdown targets. There was no movement or no shoot targets just a lot of shooting. The second stage was also different. The shooter started with a loaded 30 round mag, and with one continuous burst took out a line of bowling pins. For every pin knocked over one second was taken off the total from the first stage. The average for this stage was 6 pins. Some shooters got more and some got none at all. A team event along this same format was held after the main match. Two shooters had to do the same course with the most pins taken out being the winner. The faster time broke ties. This will be our last match until September 11th (Patriot Day) Have a good summer and Congratulations to all the recently elected club officers. Hey, I'm going to Gaudin Jaguar for a couple of hose clamps for my Sterling. You must keep your Commonwealth gun all Brittish, right?
