hello all,
Im have been considering getting a ccw for the past few months.  A friend of mine said he had one in the past but now they have so many restrictions on where you can carry concealed now that it was not worth it for him to renew.  he said even though you have a permit you would not be allowed to carry in casinos, private stores, etc.  if they post a sign then you may not carry.  is this correct?  i would imagine except for gov facilities/parks etc  if you have the credentials you should be able to carry anywhere in the state.
Thanks for the information.

respects,
the agent

Thats why its called a "concealed weapon"....no one is supposed to know your carring. the only places you cant go with a permit is a court house...school...police station....even the places with sign(the signs are illegal) you can go into....sounds like your friend is just uninformed.

OldTroop hit the nail on the head.
Add 'airport terminals' and the list of prohibited places it's pretty much complete afaik....

Btw, NV-CCW lets you bypass the Brady check when purchasing a firearm in NV. $15 in savings per transaction. The CCW (for a NV resident) is good for 5 years and therefor pays for itself...

las vegas is now my home, thanks for the info re the ccw.  i thought that might be the case someone had told me that it was legal to open carry and that was what the posted notices were for.  so if you have a ccw you could carry just about anywhere minus the school, police stations, etc.  well i guess im going to have to find me a class.  thanks guys

IIRC, that is now $25 per transaction.  Even more reason to have the permit.
