For the people asking how the 60's riots compare to today's Baltimore riots.
Found this page on the 1967 Milwaukee riots, lots of pics here: Milwaukees Finest - 67 riots |
| If you scroll down to the July 31, 1967 incident you'll read about Capt. Hagopian. After he retired in 87 he became an investigator doing LE background checks for Milwaukee County. He did my background check back in 91 and was a real cool dude. Probably without his input my LE career may have never took off. I ended up working with one of the men who saved his life that day for about 15 years. I won't mention his name but he took blast from a 12 gauge to his back helping Hagopian which saved his life. Again not to mention his name but the guy I'm talking about was one of the biggest SOB's I've ever met. He showed me a picture of him from when he was in the Army in the late 1950's holding a M2 Browning on the tripod at waist level and firing it. He had hands the size of a catchers mit. I was saddened to hear a few years ago the Hagopian passed away enjoying his golden years down south. |

my father was a milw cop remember when he came home to change his uniform every 3 days during the riots homies would start fires then shoot at the fire dept.
what I don't understand in balt there throwing rocks and what not.chance a cop could get killed why isn't deadly force justified |
| I had the pleasure of being there for the L.A. riots. Had to go rescue my sister as she was stuck at the grocery store she worked at. Rode in the back of my brother in laws Chevy Luv with a Mini-14 under a blanket. Scared to death of getting stopped by the police or having to shoot someone. Thankfully it was relatively uneventful but then both I and my BIL are large shaved head tattooed Hispanic guys with unfriendly demeanors. |
