According to Page 4 of http://www.doj.state.wi.us/sites/default/files/dles/ccw/instructor-FAQ.pdf, WI DNR Hunter Safety Instructors are not qualified to teach a CCW course. But most other nationally or state recognized organizations' instructor training can qualify someone to teach a CCW course. Just a clarification. |

It would be funny if it were not sad and actually alarming. This is even more evidence of how our "friends" in Madison have allowed the DOJ to amend the Statute through Administrative Code and selective enforcement of it.

HS instructors can't teach you a CCW course, but they can teach you a HS course, which gets you your CCW. Oh, I think I have arrived at Funkytown. Only because the Statute explicitly dictates that a HS certificate is proof of training. Van Hollen and the DOJ are running nearly unchecked by the House and Assembly. If they could get away with it, they would not be accepting HS certificates either. |
