We are fostering a dog through a place called Tailwaggers 911. They just brought up 52 dogs from a high kill shelter in Georgia and we took in one of the dogs. She was great in the car for the 40 min ride home. She is very low key so far and is very friendly with our 12 and 13 year old kids. She seems to love the water. We had a kiddie pool in the yard and when we got home she went right to it and laid right down. She 's been following me around the house and likes to be around people. I'd take her if our existing rescue Pit/Boxer/Rhodesian mix wasn't so animal aggressive. Did we get her from you? We got her about five years ago from a rescue that does the same thing, a retired woman from WI who places dogs from high-kill shelters down south. The foster home was down in Racine when we picked her up.
She'd take to a puppy that she could bond with, she sleeps with the cat the West Allis FD rescued from a sewer two years ago, but a grown dog would be a constant worry.

Quick update. Honey was taken by a prospective family from Green Bay about 2 weeks ago and we just got confirmation that they adopted her. She was a really good dog and I'm glad she found a home.
We just got word on another foster that we might take in. This one's a year old hound/mountain dog mix named Highlander.
