Not nervous to get married but the thought of the hundreds of people staring has got me nervous. I will be carrying my XD subcompact. Other guns carried by wedding party are XDS and LCR...While I am excited to get married, I will be happy when its over.

Congrats on your wedding - if you made the right choice you know it, and you'll spend the rest of your life relishing in that.

So your wedding is going to be a dry wedding? Why? Do people who drink have less right to defend themselves than those who don't? What is prior restraint? Why does it never work? Why am I unpopular at parties? So many questions. |
| UPDATE: It went well, nerves vanished before ceremony. It went fast like everyone says. No, it wasnt a dry reception. We all put the guns in our hotel rooms. I put mine away because of all the hugging that was going to take place. Looking to relax today and absorb it all. |

Eta spelling Freudian Slip?......no doubt you meant happy when the wedding is over...... If you marry the right woman and you are the right man there is no better way to live....on the other hand...... Best of Luck To You Both |

Good luck and congratulations! I plan on eloping, I have no desire to deal with the family drama Well understandable no doubt about that.....however a mother-in-law can work for you or work against you.... And if they hold a grudge.....forgethabout it......run away run away Suffering the "family drama" might be worth it in the future scheme of things.....just a thought.... However if you want advice on here talk to rfb45colt he's an old married man...married to the same woman....and happy to boot....must be doing something right |

I've made the calculations So far the plan is to have a nice dinner somewhere with the sane family members on both sides (good folks who would understand anyway). There are however a select few FSA family members I may or may not piss on if they were on fire that everyone tolerates. On my wedding day, I will not be tolerating any BS
With drama you gotta pick your battles. There are folks where I will take it since they're still valuable people, and there are folks I will gently boot off of high bridges given the chance
At the ripe old age of 24 I'm pretty much ground zero on tolerating genuinely crappy people in general. |

We finally figured out 23 yrs ago how to avoid all the family drama crap.... move 400 miles away from both sides, and don't answer your phone when they call unless it's a birthday or Christmas. |
