How much water does one of those use to make a cut like that?

I know the flow is variable, but what most people don't know is that it is a mixture of water and sand that do the cutting, and not just water.

This machine runs at 1.2 gallons per minute, so it uses roughly 1.8 gallons to cut 1 opener. That's just the flow through the cutting head, the pump also uses 3 to 4 gpm for cooling water. Abrasive

(crushed garnet), runs at .8 pounds per minute, so that adds up to around 1.2 pounds of that per opener. In a day's time, we use quite a bit of water and abrasive.

Can you reclaim teh garnet via a filter or something, or is it use and lose?

It's possible to reclaim it, but it's not cost effective.

Yes, the pistol grip grabs the lip of the crown, buttstock rests on the top, and the front handguard/barrel is the lever. I couldn't get a picture of it in use.

Where can I get one seeing as how I can't make it to RN5?

I'll be in TX prepping for a deployment...is it wrong that missing RN makes me want to get out of the Army?
