Kinda wondering if the refinery in Joliet is still off line because they want to keep it off to drive up profits. Why wait until may/june to switch over from "winter blends"?

Weird how they report "record profits" every quarter.

The record profits are reported by amounts.  Profits really need ot be calculated by percentage.  The percentage hasn't changed.  Since prices go up, the amount of profit in quantity goes up naturally, even though the percentage stays the same.

LOL. I remember when I bought my first brand new car (1969 Pontiac GTO) I would run nothing but Sunoco high octane (260 it was called), at the whopping exorbitant cost of 50 cents per gallon! My dad thought I was nuts (he was probably right), he said it'd be just as fast with the 30 cent per gallon stuff he put in his Bonneville.

Yep, did the same with my '70 Mach 1.  Think I paid less than  50 cents a gallon for 260 though.

I still remember the gas wars, back in the early '60s, Shell "ETHYL" at around 23 cents a gallon!
