Came across a Craiglist ad of someone looking for broken trail cams to use as decoy's.
Can someone explain this to me? People now have to set a trail cam to monitor other trail cams, or something? |

That and they put them in plain sight, locked to a tree with a padlock, to deter tresspassers. You see a camera used for this, you don't know if it's real or not. Just like "dummy" security cammeras in stores. It works. edit: But in some cases, trespassers have vandalized the "dummy" cameras, so real ones were hidden to record the dummy camera areas. I've heard of several people getting fined because of not knowing there was a real camera set up to record them messing with the dummy.  Guess who else does this? The DNR.
