| took my oldest out this morning for some plinking with the 22s i wish he would man up and load the damn magazines himself instead i hear dad my hands are cold when i was younger i had visions of going shooting with my kids and they would sit back and load magazines for me all day long boy was i ever wrong |

Went to Fleet Farm to see if any cases of Yugo 7.62x39 were left. There weren't. So I picked up a few boxes of Stingers, on sale. Then headed north to check out a goat milker.
Might finally get to shoot the nagant on tuesday. Found some 7.62 nagant on a road trip. |

Went to Midwest on Sat..Took my Vtac M&P and my S&W 66-1 .357.Surprisingly,plenty of 9mm,.40,.45 but no .357.Just shot up the ammo I brought with.My buddy Tony12steps came along and brought a Bodyguard .38 he'd just gotten for his birthday.He bought 2 boxes of .38+p,I looked at him and said "youv'e never shot a j frame have you ".By the end of box 1 he was complaining.By the end of box 2 he was offering everybody/anybody to shoot it cause his hand was getting beat to shit but he didn't want to concede that I was right that 1 box would do.The Vtac....if I can call it that anymore since I tossed those ridiculous sights,was a dream to shoot.I had installed an Apex duty/carry kit some time ago and that was nice.Then I added their new trigger and this was my first time actually shooting it. Stellar is the word,just a fantastic trigger,smoooth,tons less pre-travel and very very little overtravel.Of course the Magnum is always good to wake up people on the line...especially when their all shooting .22's and .380's .Good time.Stop and talked to Mitch,he told us that they had a guy come in and buy $5000 in pistol ammo!.

| I'm headed out to zero the new Aimpoint T-1 (Merry Christmas to me) tomorrow, and I'll probably burn through some .22 in my training gun as well. I really want to hear how quiet the .30 cal is with the snow on the ground, but I'll probably wait until another trip so I'm not spending half my time at the range unloading and loading the car. |

Been in the feild a bit the past week. Went to the range Sat. to find out what's up with the zero on one of my rifles - wasn't connecting with long range shots. Turns out I was off by 10 MOA elevation. Tomorrow's only syupposed to get up to 12. |
I planned on doing some coyote hunting over the weekend. But all the grandkids were here last weekend, and one of them brought grandpa a special gift... a cold/flu bug.  I took some Nyquil and went to bed friday night at 8pm, didn't get up saturday til almost 2pm, I slept 18 hours... went back to bed at 8pm sat night, and slept to 10am sunday, another 14 hours of sleeping in. I went to bed last night at 8pm again, got up today at 9am. ... another 13 hours. I'm well rested  , the bottle of Nyquil is empty, but I still feel like shit.

Went yesterday with a coworker to shoot his new WASR and XDm 9mm that he purchased. You guys who have your own land to shoot are really lucky, I would be out every day if I had that setup, so maybe it's good for my wallet that I do not  . I do live pretty close to a range though, so I can't complain too much. I wonder if we could organize an AR15.com shoot/get together some day, that would be cool.
