Saw that they started the demo on the Sidney Hih building...sad days. I remember seeing the Smashing Pumpkins at the Unicorn years ago. Like seeing a show in your friend's basement: no stage and 9' ceilings. People being body passed smashed against the ceiling, LOL.

It's been needed to have something done for a long time. If it was going to be saved, the last few years killed any chances of financing being available to do it.

Yeah, that weird old building was really ruining the view of the big (former) Park East freeway spur's vacant lot.
