Went there over the weekend for a family member's stone setting.  The Father-in-Law and I rode (bad choice as it was raining) from the hotel to there.  I noticed while walking around there was a sign posting "no weapons permitted on these grounds" or something of that nature.  There was only one sign in the entire place (that I could find) and in a horrible spot.  When we rode in I was on the right side of the lane and my view of the sign was obstructed by my FIL.

I thought I'd share this because this wasn't a place I figured I would see this.  What does everyone else think of that?

Cool, whatever they want. It is one of the greatest places in WI.

You were lucky to enter and appreciate.

I thank all the good folks across the country who support The Highground and all those who continue to do so...

I got back a whole lot more than I ever gave to it.

Also I am from Marshfield,WI so I was close by and many others drove thousands of miles to be there to help out...some still do.

Sounds like a really nice place. Drove by many times. However, as long as they have a no weapon policy, this veteran won't be stopping by. We're good enough to bear weapons for our country, but not to protect ourselves? I just don't understand it.

I was there a few years back. My girlfriends family placed 3 stones there. I got to hold a flag as part of the circle ceremony. I have never served, my brother did, and so did my grandpa. It was indeed a very humbling experience.

This was kind of my feeling about it.  I have never served but thought of all places where firearms would be in capable hands...

BTW, Thanks to all for their service to this country!
