| OK so i have been doing a good job of avoiding posted places all together. But now the wife wants to go to the mill zoo and then the mall for mothers day... I know zoo is posted I'm told and i think the mall is too. Is this correct? And i suppose if I want to keep mamma happy I have to go. Anyone been there lately? A co-worker said metal detectors but I didn't believe him that would cost a fortune and upset alot of people. |

Your coworker is a fool. The BUILDINGS inside the zoo are posted. You are fine on the grounds. Southridge mall is not posted. Southridge mall is totally posted at all entrances. There is a brown/bronze colored sign inside the double doors giving rules/expectations of conduct and it also says weapons, etc are forbidden. |

Went to Mayfair mall scanned left right up down when walking in and didn't see any signs. Didn't see any inside either. I scanned quickly when leaving and still didn't see anything.
The zoo today, didn't see any at ticket booth. Walking in didn't see any. It wasn't till the sixth building did I notice a small green or yellow card taped to a door that said no weapons. No bigger than a 4*6 card and the print was small. I then remembered seeing those cards in other doors but didn't bother reading them because they where so small and its the first time I've seen a no weapons sign without a picture of a gun with a line through it. U would never notice these cards i f u weren't trying really hard to find them. So that's BS if those signs are legal size. I think if ur going to post then the sign should stand out a little bit at least. No one else in the group noticed any of them. My sister in law even commented on how nice it was that i could carry there lol |

We'll find somewhere else to walk when it get's colder outside. |
