I just recieved a new Timney 3lbs skeletonized in the mail today. I had an issue with the old one I had so I sent it back and they sent me a new one. I liked the trigger but don't know if I want to try something different. I dont know if I want to sell this one and purchase a Geissele SSA trigger.
Anyone have or had a Geissele Trigger? would you recommend one vs the other or what. |
| I have SSA, SD-3G, and High Speed Match triggers in a various rifles. I absolutely love Giessele triggers. The fit and finish is second to none. I have had RRA and Jewel triggers in the past. I have used Timney triggers in friends rifles and I would not hesitate to take a Giessele over any of them. The SSA has about a 4 1/2 lb pull. The SSA-E has about a 3 1/2 lb pull. The SD-3G is a single stage 3 1/2 lb pull and the High Speed Match is adjustable. Depending on where you are located, you're welcome to come try any of my rifles to get a feel for the triggers. I'm near Appleton. |
| I've shot several triggers in various 3 gun matches and by far the best for me is a JP. They have a program in which you can send your lower into them and they'll install and tune the trigger. Nothing beats the actual company that makes the trigger doing the install but of course you can install it yourself if you like playing with them. JP Link |

Ur timney trigger is probably a little nicer than an ssa. IMO
A Rra two stage is a good all around trigger if your looking to upgrade. The geissele 3G trigger is fun but they are finicky and almost impossible to shoot accurately with. The high speed line ie service or match are about the best money can do on an at-15 IMO Good luck. |
