I was just up there fishing last weekend. The ice was shifting in the 30 mph winds. We left and found a 1 foot crack about 60 feet from the shack. Kind of freaky for my first bay fishing trip. Caught great fish.
My buddy knew the guys who stayed. They were on 4 wheelers and knew the ice would shift back. The eight that were rescued kind of panicked. When you are prepping to go fishing on the bay you have to look at wind conditions, forecasts and satelite imaging to be sure of where you are going... |
