It's always a blast when we hit the range.
Usually it's to go make a video to prove a point on this website. Sometimes it's to just make some brass so we have something to reload and a rifle to clean. But who cares, at least we have fun and get some trigger time.

You didn't really have any doubts that the AK wasn't going to go bang did you? Hell if Red Jacket can do their magic on one and it still functions––-you know its a reliable platform.

I got it for helping out the Illinois junior service rifle kids. Wisconsin does not have a junior service rifle team to speak of.  I wish they did though.

what???? well that's no good. Who do we need to raise hell with to get one? Recruit some kids! They can be up to 21 but younger is preferred. I will coach them and would love to help WI put up a winning Jr. Team. I coached the Illinois jr team into a 6 man National win @ Camp Perry in 2007. One of my favorite feats as a coach. Black guns just aren't super accepted in WI yet. Communist Illinois has put up 3 six man teams to nationals before. I don't get it.

The tend to close the ranges for things like riding 4x4's, riding snowmobiles, cookouts, trap/skeet shoots, handgun/rifle classes, its too nice of a day, or because they just feel like it. 
I have been burned before by driving there with AMU and being told the range is closed for a 4-wheeler riding day.
