Sending in my wife's application.
Her Hunters Safety card has her maiden name, drivers license and everything else is in her married name. I included her maiden name in the 'alias' section of the permit application. Anyone think this will be a problem at the DOJ? I'm sure my wife isn't the only woman to have gotten married since she took hunters safety... Should I send something that proves she changed her name with it? |

Has she purchased a fishing or hunting license since you got married? If so, does it have her "new" married name? IOW, did she do a "name change" at DNR? If the answers are yes, you can go to any DNR license vendor and get a new hunter safety printed out with the proper name for $2.50. That'd clear up any confusion. If not, you might be able to do both name & address change at DNR on-line... I know for sure you can change your address on-line. Those steps would "un-complicate" things for her. |

I corrected everything i could through the DNR site. Name unfortunately is not one of those things that i can personally change. I did change her drivers license number to the correct one(that reflects her married name) She has not bought any new licenses since she's been married. |

You cannot change your name (nor your DNR number)... just address, etc. I'd call DNR and ask how you do this. Like you said, she's not the first person to get married and change their last name. If she's going to buy a DNR license of any kind, you'll probably have to do this anyway... might as well get it over with. Considering the work load DOJ has already, the last thing I'd want would be unnecessary delays with her CC application... such as needing "supervisor approval" etc., if her application is not simple to process. |

[/quote] Yeah...i'll probably give them a call and see what i can do. Hopefully i don't have to pay the fee again to get the new card... |
| I actually called on this back in November because I just restored my birth name at the end of oct. and all the Doc I have is in my old last name.. when I called the DOJ the lady I talked too said as long as you have the prev. name in the alias section then it wouldn't be a problem. |
