| Had to drive the N76th street from about Good Hope Rd to Wauwatosa yesterday. It was strange to see so many Sheriff's dept vehicles around - a lot. Anything special going on or is Clarke taking over the the shit hole? |

Rumors of trouble fail to materialize at cinema, police say Twitter and Facebook were buzzing with reports that a group of teen-agers was planning to cause trouble around 5 p.m. Friday at Northtown Cinema, 7440 N. 76th St., but a police spokeswoman said Saturday that no problems materialized. "Police officers were there to monitor what was expected to be a very large crowd," Anne E. Schwartz said in an email. "We're happy to report that the large crowds were peaceful and enjoyed a Friday night at the movies." Schwartz did not immediately respond to a question about why the large crowd was expected or if it had anything to do with the social media rumors. A spokesman for Marcus Theaters, which owns Northtown, also said it was busy at the theater Friday but there were no problems. |
