| So I stopped at Fleet Farm and while in the sporting goods noticed a new display of handguns. Also in the case was an upper...piston driven in the M4 configuration. It carried the Huldra name and was manufactured by Adams arms... does anyone here in the HTF have any experience with this brand? It is not priced cheap and is advertised as the ultimate AR. Fleet Farm is also now selling magpul, Eotec,Nikon 223, and an assortment of other EBR gear. |

Personally I'd skip on any piston AR.
Even "higher quality" piston ARs choke when shooting high round counts. They tend to have bad reps to those who run their carbines hard. A few instructors have noticed that they fail in classes time and time again. The claim that they require little cleaning is false also. You just need to clean a different area of the carbine. They also present a number of new problems and eliminate few old ones. A Colt 6920, or a BCM carbine set up just the way you want will likely cost less than this "ultimate" AR. Good luck with your decision and your purchase! |

Huldra is an industry partner. Stuart Mills is a 3 gun enthusiast. The $1800 Huldra is being pushed as a 3 gun rifle and all are toted as being reliable in high round applications. No one who actually shoots them has come forward with issues. Everything else is nothing more than speculation unless it is actual experience with them.

They certainly are not priced expensive. The prices start the same or less than conventional ARs. Since you are getting a piston rifle for the same price, they should be worthy of trying.
It is not priced cheap and is advertised as the ultimate AR. . I will be getting one in a couple of weeks and give a first hand review. |

I did not read this post before I posted about FF on the told "they are going to sell pistols" thread.
You are right they had a compensated "3-gunesque" SS barreled piston AR in there. It looked like a 3- gun rig. I paid no mind, but thought, it is priced like a "good"/"Tier 1"/"Chart Whore" |
