June 29, 2011 A 31-year-old man suffered third-degree burns to his face near Horicon on Wednesday afternoon after a can of gunpowder exploded in his face. The man had been trying to light a small amount of gun powder that he had put on the ground, according to a Dodge County Sheriff's Department news release. While trying to light it, the can of gunpowder he was holding in his other hand ignited and exploded. He was conscious and alert when medical personnel arrived, and was flown to Madison from Beaver Dam Community Hospital. |
