Quoted:
What the heck was going on there I wonder? If that was a representative he should have access to the building any time he wants. Sounded like the police were told no one in or out. He was trying to push his way past the cops and got grounded. Kinda ballsy to lay your hands on a police officer like he did... |

It is clear to me he took it to the "touching" level all by himself and got what happens when you do that. Though it isn't a good thing... It seems to me there is a need to evaluate and implement better Capitol building security –– not only because of what has been going on but in general. Not restricting access but having policy and procedure. I think there have been plenty of lessons learned. Of course, anything done is spun to be one sided and "police state" like so I guess there is no winning this one. |

Kinda ballsy to lay your hands on a police officer like he did... this. its clear he is struggling to get past the officer. whatever good that would do as there were plenty more officers in there to stop him. fucking democrats, when will they learn that the rules apply to them too. if he would have cooled his jets and explained who he was he would have been let in, assuming he was allowed in to begin with. edited to add: that dem rep has a hot mike. he must think he is above the law, or above proving to an officer who he is. fuck that guy. if you try to muscle past a police security point, you should expect much worse than he got. |

Of course, this is the top story on CNN. Amazingly, when you read the Urinal version, they actually explain he was trying to push through and have a quote about him saying he was upset he couldn't get in. In line with the reality of the video. "I think the officer that took me to the ground was too aggressive in his approach,” Rep. Nick Milroy (D-South Range) said in a Friday news conference. He acknowledged Friday he himself had been aggressive in trying to get into the building, but he felt strongly lawmakers should be able to get into their offices. On CNN, they skip that part and have his quote talking about "the armed-palace environment". I love the spin. "This armed-palace environment created by Gov. Walker has everyone feeling very tense, and emotions are running high," said Milroy of the incident, captured on camera by Milwaukee-based WISN-TV. This isn't surprising to me. Just pointing it out for the benefit a limited few who have trouble following along with such things. |
