Well I was on Facebook harrasing 17 year old girls and discovered a message from Unique1 stating:
Going into emergency surgery. Wish me luck
Nobody knows what is going on. I texted his daughter and she said she does not know what is going on and just got a couple of cryptic text messages from him about it and nothing more. Her boss will not let her make phone calls to find out what is going on. I have not been able to get a hold of him and don't have his wifes number. If anyone has any news of can get a hold of him please do so and let me know. In the mean time Pray for the big guy. UPDATE 1: Ok I got a hold of his wife. Here is what I know. She said it was ok to share. He went to the ER this morning with lower abdominal pains. They admitted him, and did testing. They found he had an obstruction in his colon they said they thought had been there for years. They also said the preceeding part of the colon was way over stressed and ready to burst, which would have killed him. They removed 2 large sections of his colon. He is not out of surgery yet. He was also having trouble with breathing due to the pressure on his lungs. He will have two colostomy bags for 6-8 months until he loses a good amount of weight and changes his diet. Then they will be able to reverse the proceedure and remove the bags. He is at St. Mary's in downtown Madison and will be there for 7-10 days. His wife will keep me up to date with information and room numbers and such. Time for more prayers and support guys. U1 has a very long hard road ahead of him, and he can use all the support he can get. UPDATE 2: Ok I have been told that he is in a lot of pain. Docs have given him someserious pain meds. I'm told he still is so out of it he doesn't really know what's going on. Not suprised with the meds he's on. He is doing better than last night, and sleeping a lot. His daughter was there today and said "He's convinced his asian man nurse is a ninja." lolol There isn't much more than that right now. He is at St Mary's 4th floor Room 4623. |

Posting was at 3:16pm His daughter was able to text me his wifes phone number and I called. She said hi and some in the background started talking to her she promptly said she had to go and would call me in a few minutes. Has not called back. |

Curious where daughter works that the boss refused to let her make a phone call when immediate family was being taken to the emergency room. It's quite conceivable that his boss' boss might have a sit down with him about that if the right folks say something.
If Unique1 wants to share the info I'll see if anyone in my FB or LI networks works there. |

I just got in from being in the Philippines for a month..... Get well Soon! I'm glad to hear you are home and things are looking better. I'm guessing that if they released you, you were able to ninja around the halls without being caught then....
