Talk to me: Family members are moving to the Kettle Moraine. Like: ON the Kettle Moraine. Questions abound. I've heard stories about wolves, mountain lions, etc in the area. I've talked to officers who have seen wolves, including recovered at least one dead wolf in Dousman (nearby, immediately north). So what IS in that forest?

Sounds like a fun time!
In asking around about deer hunting in the area, what I've been told is that is VERY big woods for Southern Wisconsin. The deer herd is apparently over populated, according to the DNR. There's plenty of prey for predators, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are wolves and cats. Sounds like they may need to keep pets on a short leash and a handy firearm or two. |

Quoted: I listed and sold a home in Ottawa and I've shown many more in and around Dousman and Ottawa. The fellow whose home I sold is now a good friend, and he lived there for 15-18 years. IM me any questions you and your family has and I'll get answers for you. Mike IMed |
| Besides the norm, There has been at least one bear, mountain lion, along with a few wolve sightings in the area. Occurances seem to be picking up, but I'd say still rare. I've only once seen a wolf in Southern Wisconsin and it wasn't in the KM forest. I seen it over in the Oak Creek area. The major preditor is coyotes. They are all over. |
