Well here it is. I need to shape the radius just a tad more, but thats it. Dave the sight next to it is the size of the one I installed on yours.

It started life as this.

Now!

The serrations? No I cut those on my mill. 1/4" carbide end mill and some measuring.

The sight itself is a large sight blank from Brownells.

Wow.

You have failed thus far to market your skills.

You have slowly been doing so of late.

I really need to think of something that you need to do to one of my guns.

My wife's 38 Super 1911; I had a LPA set installed, but the tenon staking job I did left the sight somewhere in the tall grass by the firing line, and I decided a dovetailed replacement was a better option than another tenon mount for the snappy cartridge!

Ah I see, that's very similar to the rear adjustable sight that was on my 1911. I'm surprised my front staked on sight didn't fall off over the years. Todd said it came off without much effort...Nice pistol

Here's the finished product; Todd's not responsible for the final finish, as I took the .430" tall sight and filed it down to a final height of .337" for it to shoot POA=POI at 25', with 4" of adjustability up and down.  I think it looks really nice, and with a little green locktite and the two roll pins holding everything in place, it's not going anywhere!  The wife is ecstatic, and she was holding MOZH (minute of zombie head) at 25' first time out no problem.  I think with some practice she'll be shooting itty-bitty groups again.
