Isn't this along the lines of how Flamethrower usually starts a post?

Kidney stones are reportedly the worst pain.  Good luck and I hope you get relief soon!

I saw the thread title and just assumed it was Flame as well.

Speaking of which, and not to jinx it, but aren't we due for another Flame hospital thread?

That sucks ROYAL A$$. Just out of curiosity do you drink much soda?? My buddy would down three or four 20oz bottles of Mt Dew at work and got stones like mad. He gave up the Dew and switched to water and hasn't had any since...

Guess what just came out of the old weiner at mach10? Relief at last.

36+ hours of pure hell. Although St Mary's gave me similar stuff to morphine (THANKS TOM!!!). And Percocets. Down sides to drugs? Heavy duty pukeage. Wow. I could never be a druggie. I suppose it doesn't help that I haven't ate in 2 days. Now I gotta come off the percocet high.

Don't drink a lot of soda, but do loves my cheese. One thing for sure, I need to get into better health. Also need to quit smoking.

And yes, this was my 6th stone in 25 years. Last one was a year ago. And not getting any easier.

Thanks for the well wishes, I sure needed em.

And again, Thanks to Tommy Trauma for taking me into the hospital at 6 am. And hanging out til he knew I was well drugged up. You rock man!

Ask for it by name.  You automatically get the "seeker" suspicion thrown out in the E.R. (edit: with no need for Tom to explain to admissions) as the drug is an NSAID that works wonders with stone pain (ask me how I know).

The only down side to Toredol is that if administered orally, it will tear up your stomach just the same as Percoset (I can't handle the Percs they give ya afterward either).  I've yet to find a doc that will send me home with a scrip for the injectable, so the E.R. is just about it.

For straight-up kidney pain relief (no high), that stuff rocks.

<== Has had 3 now that have required trips to the ER, but throw very small stones all the time.

Toradol, yeah that's it. WOW. talk about warm and fuzzy!!!

And very good looking nurses for the most part, wow. Too bad all Tom could do is talk about them shoving a rod inside "Mr. Happy"... Buzzkill.

I think the percs are out of my system now, I hate those things. All they do is take SOME of the edge off. And I can't eat anything, which is ok too. I feel like someone used my kidneys for punching bags. I hope I sleep tonight.
