How is Precision Sports? I've passed it often enough but never gotten off the highway to stop in. They have more stuff to look at than any other store in the area. Depending on the day and deliveries, etc. Normally they have optics by NF, Trijicon, Eotech, Leupold, etc (No Aimpoints). Plus parts and other things. Lots of YHM rails, but there are also rifles and other stuff to look at. Spikes .22s, Tactical Solutions .22s, etc. Again, it all depends on what is there at that moment, but overall there is generally stuff to look at. If you are heading south or north on Hwy 41 through Oshkosh, the 5-6 minutes you travel south on Hwy 44 is worth it. |

I'll definitely make time to stop by, thanks! |

Unfortunately, Appleton is not chocked full of gun shops. The best ar-centric one in the area is on Hwy 44 about 5 minutes SW of Oshkosh, Precision Sports. Beyond that Scheels at the Fox River Mall has lots of guns to look at. Scheels is the worst place to look at guns. they have on staff one person who really knows what they are talking about other then that the rest of them just read the adds on the guns and cant really answer alot of questions not to mention they have horable custmer service skills, and nothing really spectacler for used guns or optics and as far as AR parts they only have VFGs and a stock and a few overpriced mags. if you want a to look at a alot of guns and talk to guys that know what there talkin you should go to gander there custmer service skills are the best and there gun guys know what they are tlaking about because they are just as much of a gun nut as you are and in some cases even more so. just go to gander dont even bother with scheels. as far as small gunshops nothing i can think of off hand |

I do my own research and then go look for the price...I care little what a 22 yr old gun store clerk has to say about any firearm.... |
