So long as they are a WI resident 18 years of age or older who is able to own firearms, I see nothing prohibiting it from being shipped to them either. Per ATF regs a person must be 21 years old or older to purchase a lower receiver. From a dealer only, not in a personal transaction. |

Yes, 21. The reason being is they could be built into a pistol, and you need to be 21 to purchase a pistol in WI. IIRC, as long as you are not buying from an FFL you can be 18 and own a handgun. Please correct me if I am wrong. Durr...did not see post above mine. |

From a FFL... 21 when transferred from a FFL has nothing to do with "could be built into a pistol" If you read Federal law it states 21 for fiirearms ecept for rifle or shotgun. Since a bare receiver is not a rifle, shotgun or handgun it is an "other". You must be 21 but you do not need to wait for it to be transferred and it does not have to be called in to the handgun hotline. You can purchase 100+ per day and you do not need to fill out a multiple handgun purchase form. |
